U.S. EMBASSY CAIRO ALUMNI AFFAIRS
The Office of Alumni Affairs at the U.S. Embassy Cairo is pleased to announce that the 2026 Alumni Engagement Innovation Fund (AEIF) is now open. AEIF is an opportunity that awards funding between $5,000 to $35,000 to teams of U.S. government-sponsored exchange alumni to carry out public service projects.
- There must be at least two U.S. Government-sponsored exchange alumni for a project to be considered for funding.
- All applications must be completed in full and in English by the applicant.
- AI-Generated applications will be disqualified.
- Deadline for application is Wednesday 4th of March, 2026.

All AEIF projects must achieve at least one of the following:
● Bring Exchange Alumni together from different exchange programs to build or expand an Exchange Alumni network capable of working together on common interests, and increase regional and global alumni collaboration.
● Strengthen the relationship between alumni and the U.S. government to work together on activities that address mutual goals and challenges.
● Support Exchange Alumni as they develop their leadership capacity and implement projects in their communities.

Program Description
Accesspreneurs is a comprehensive program designed specifically for Egyptian Access Alumni aged from 18 to 28 years old. This program aims to empower the target group by equipping them with the necessary business English language skills in addition to the skills and knowledge in the field of entrepreneurship and business management. Through a combination of theoretical learning, practical training, and real-life case studies, participants will gain valuable insights and tools to excel in starting up their businesses. The Accesspreneurs program comprises two main components: the online Business English program and the face-to-face camp. The two components cover various aspects of entrepreneurship, emphasizing business management skills and startup management. Participants will learn how to develop a business idea, create a business plan, and effectively manage resources to turn their ideas into successful ventures. They will gain a deep understanding of the entrepreneurial mindset, including problem-solving, adaptability, creative thinking, and leadership skills. Eligibility to apply:
• Target Audience: Access Alumni: The applicants to the program should be Egyptian Access Alumni Program from Cohorts 11, 12, and 13 who meet the following criteria:
• Leadership Skills: Evaluation of the applicant's leadership potential, ability to work in teams, and demonstration of initiative and problem-solving skills.
• Passion and Motivation: Assessment of the applicant's passion for entrepreneurship and commitment to personal and professional growth.
